Situated in the heart of the Atacama dessert, the Llullaillaco (6.739 m) accounts for the highest Inca's sacrifice site and the highest ruins on earth. In 1999, Argentinean archeologists and the National Geographic Society retrieved the mummified remains of two Inca children. You will visit the highest plateau in America, a desolate landscape with endless variations, completely off the beaten path. Season: From April to May and from October to November. Length: 13 days.
The Pissis volcano (6882m) provides a high altitude, away from civilization and the crowd of other popular summits. This massive peak is located at the southern edge of the PUNA high dessert plateau, surrounded by volcanoes, which filled the horizon with elegant lines. There are abundant vestiges of ancient civilizations that lived in this land centuries ago. Season: October through March. Length: 15 days.
