This is an extremely aesthetic cone-shaped Patagonian peak located in the Lake District. It is 3778 m (13,000 ft) high and can be climbed from September through April, in a 4 day program. It is surrounded by ancient Araucaria trees and placid lakes where you can enjoy a swim or catch a trout after getting yourself high in the mountain! September through April
This ascent is ideal for the novice and porvides a good taste of Patagonian mountaineering for the experienced one. It is a non-technical climb of 1400 m (4,600 ft) from high camp. We recommend arriving in good physical shape. Participants will be expected to carry a 30 pounds load on talus, ice and snow to get to our high camp. Hiking times will be anywhere between 6 to 12 hrs.
All ground transportation, lodging in Junin de los Andes and camping in the mountain. All expedition meals, porters to carry group gear (tents, kitchen gear, food and fuel). Personal equipment included: helmets, crampons and ice axe. Group Gear: tents, first aid kits, communication devices, technical climbing gear: ropes, snow pro when needed, GPS, etc) and kitchen gear. The participant-guide ratio will be around 4:1, depending on the group size, usually groups of 3 to 10 individuals.
