meridies® designs and runs a variety of one-day programs amidst the gorgeous mountain scenery of Patagonia’s Lake District. This is a fantastic option for those who have scheduled a number of days in this area and seek adventures outdoors and experience the scenery in the comfort of a hotel.
The city of Bariloche provides an excellent base and easy access to different adventure activities throughout the year. Instead of offering a packaged day-program with fixed itineraries, meridies® offers diverse programs in the diverse environments available in the lake district of Patagonia: dessert, forest, high alpine terrain, glacier and lakes. When designing these alternatives, we take in consideration the appropriate level of exertion wanted by our clients, as well as the weather and mountains conditions. While combining all these factors we are able to customize your one-day, two-day or three-day programs in this Patagonian wilderness.

meridies® runs trekking, rock-climbing, sea-kayaking, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing programs. All of these activities can be combined in two, three or more days according to your availability, your personal needs and the current weather conditions. These multisports trips can be arranged in a fairly short notice compared to longer programs as our headquarters is located in Bariloche.

We adapt programs to all levels of outdoor experience. We adjust our rhythm to different physical abilities.
Included:
All ground transportation, snacks & lunches during the program. When applicable: harnesses, helmets & climbing shoes, sea-kayaking equipment, skis and boots, hiking poles & snowshoes. Group gear such as first aid supplies, radios, technical gear when required: ropes, carabineers, GPS, etc. Groups are usually small, with a maximum ratio of four participants/one guide. Minimum required: 2 people
Not Included:
International and domestic flights, personal gear (please request personal gear list for each activity), lodging in San Carlos de Bariloche, breakfasts or dinners.
This is a moderate trek which can be done at different paces, depending on your personal interests. We'll pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and we'll drive to our trailhead. We will hike for 2 or 3 hours with a daypack up to the alpine zone. The time will arrive then for a brilliant pic-nic enjoying the array of lakes, glaciated summits, lush forest and jagged peaks. Sea-kayaking

This is a tranquil day accessible to all levels of fitness. Previous sea-kayaking experience is not required. We'll pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and we'll take you to a unique launching beach in one of the Bariloche lakes, where we will load our sea-kayaks and get ready for our journey. We will row 2 or 3 hours at your rhythm with the assistance of our guides. The time will arrive then for a brilliant pic-nic in a sanded beach, enjoying the array of granite cliffs, glaciated summits, lush forest and persistent waterfalls. We will row for another 3 hours and return to our launching beach, where we will unload the boats and drive back to your hotel, in time for the deserved shower and celebration dinner in one of Bariloche's fine restaurants. This is an intense day filled with hiking and rock-climbing, ideal for anyone who wants to experience a go-go day. A moderate to solid fitness is highly recommended in order to enjoy the day. We'll pick you up at your hotel at 8 am and we'll drive to our trailhead. We will hike for 3.5 hours with a daypack up to the Cathedral cirque, in the alpine zone. The time will arrive then for a brilliant pic-nic enjoying the view of the granite spires. We will climb on of the classic routes in Frey for 3 hours. We will hike down to our road head in 2.5 hours. This is an intense skiing or snowboarding day which is usually done a higher pace in order to complete the proposed itinerary in one-day. A moderate to solid fitness is highly recommended in order to enjoy the day. We'll pick you up at your hotel at 5 am and we'll drive to our trailhead. We will hike for 1.5 hrs until reaching a mountain hut, where we'll snack some breakfast. We will continue our ascent with skis/skins for another 3 to 4 hours depending on conditions, until reaching a superb scenic ridge. Once on the top, we'll enjoy a late morning snack before assessing the best skiing lines on our bowl. We'll descend in two hours and hike down for another 1.5 hrs until reaching our trailhead. We'll pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and we'll take you to a unique launching beach in one of the Bariloche lakes, where we will load our sea-kayaks and get ready for our journey. We will row 2 hours at your rhythm with the assistance of our guides. The time will arrive then for a brilliant pic-nic in a sanded beach, enjoying the array of granite cliffs, glaciated summits, lush forest and persistent waterfalls. We will row for another 1.5 hours and arrive to our campsite on a sanded beach. Dinner will arrive before sliding into the coziness of our sleeping bags.

After a late breakfast we will follow a glaciated carved creek which will leads us into the lush Patagonian forest for about 2 hrs. We will arrive to a an incredible alpine lake surrounded by breathtaking cliffs. After a light pic-nic, we will head down to camp, and break down camp in order to commence our return to our starting point. We will row for about 4 hrs and take as many break as the rest of the day will allow. Trekking
Mountain Hut
This is a tranquil day accessible to all levels of fitness. Previous trekking experience is not needed. We'll pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and we'll take you to the starting point of our trek. We will ascend for 4 hours up to the alpine zone, in which we will be welcomed by granite spires and a mirror lake. The rest of the afternoon, will be free for relaxing or exploring the surroundings. with the assistance of our guides. The time will arrive then for a warm dinner before sliding into the cozy sleeping bags.
Trekking
Hotel
After a late breakfast we will hike along an alpine lake and ascend a talus field up to a unique col, from where we will enjoy a 360 degree view of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, while joining into a tranquil pic-nic,. We will continue along jagged granite formations until arriving into the Catedral area. After a short break and overlooking the array of lakes, we will take the tram to descend the slopes and down to the base of the ski area, from we will drive you back to your Hotel, in time for the deserved shower and the customary celebration lunch in one of Bariloche's fine restaurants.
